Pre-workout Rice Crispy Treat

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp light butter (45g)

  • 3 tbsp skim milk (45ml)

  • 5 cups zero sugar marshmallows (240g) Recommended: Max Mallows

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)

  • 4 scoops Legion Unflavored Whey Protein (120g)

  • 4 cups rice crisps cereal (110g)

Instructions:

  • Melt Butter and Milk:

    • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the light butter and skim milk. Gently stir until the butter is completely melted and the mixture is well combined.

  • Melt Marshmallows:

    • Add the zero sugar marshmallows to the saucepan. Continue to stir consistently until the marshmallows have fully melted into a smooth mixture.

  • Add Protein and Vanilla:

    • Stir in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the Legion Unflavored Whey Protein to the marshmallow mixture, stirring continuously until the mixture becomes thick and homogenous.

  • Combine with Cereal:

    • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Gently fold in the rice crisps cereal until they are evenly coated with the marshmallow-protein mixture.

  • Set in Baking Dish:

    • Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased baking dish. Using a spatula or the back of a spoon, lightly press down to even out the mixture.

    • Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until set.

  • Serve and Enjoy:

    • Once cooled and set, cut into squares or desired shapes. Serve as a delicious and protein-packed treat.
